Jonathan Lipsit KTC Founder

Jonathan believes that how a tennis program is delivered is everything. KTC is successful because the coaches are trained well, and they bring the element of embracing the child.

In addition to curriculum writing, Jonathan has teaching and directing experience from all across the United States in Commercial and Private Club settings as well as years of Country Club and summer camp tennis experience. Jonathan was formerly Director of Education for Advantage Tennis Clubs’ Quick Start tennis program in New York, NY, which has over 30 coaches and 400+ players. He was also the Tennis Director of Huntington Country Club in Cold Spring Harbor, NY. Jonathan was the lead Cardio Tennis® Professional at Midtown Athletic Clubs in Chicago, IL. Midtown is one of the largest private tennis facilities in the world. Dr. Jack Groppel, international bestselling author and industry expert, has identified Jonathan as "one of the top tennis teaching professionals in the country."

Jonathan believes strongly in the importance of PLAY-based programs with curricula that emphasize standards and competencies. Not only does he want to instill a love of tennis in children, he wants to give them the physical, mental and social-emotional tools they need to feel successful.  He believes a big factor in their success is parent involvement. So KTC provides consistent communication with their players and families and invites parents always to ask questions and stay in the game!

After 25 years of experiences in the tennis industry, Jonathan has learned that the most basic tennis competencies translate into life skills, including: listening, critical thinking, problem-solving, fitness, socialization and an overall feeling of success.
